Travel is often presented through famous landmarks, luxury destinations, and popular attractions. While these places presented can be exciting to visit, they do not show the true character of a city. The everyday spaces; local cafés, hidden gems neighborhood shops, and quiet streets—are often where the real culture of a place exist.
Hometown was created to highlight those overlooked moments. The publication encourages readers to explore destinations through the perspective of local life, focusing on authentic food, community spaces, and cultural details that shape a city’s identity. Alongside this narrative, the magazine also provides helpful information such as language, history, currency, and local tips to help readers feel more comfortable and connected while traveling.
The goal of Hometown is simple: to invite readers to slow down, look beyond the expected, and experience a destination as if they were being welcomed into someone’s home.
Intended Audience
This publication is aimed for curious travelers who value authentic experiences over typical tourist attractions. It is aimed at readers who enjoy discovering local culture through food, neighborhood spaces, and community stories. The magazine speaks to people who want to explore cities more thoughtfully, using travel as a way to connect with local traditions, history, and everyday life.
